Booker has announced that over 500 retailers are now benefiting from their free Epos system.

The new service which launched in February 2012, has proved to be a huge hit with retailers as it helps them grow sales, increase profits and manage their business effectively.

The free Epos system allows retailers to develop their business efficiencies including price changes, stock levels and promotions.  It is also a great way of ordering, saving both time and effort.  The system can also produce reports to help retailers identify profitable lines, slow sellers and category sales.

Mr Kular of Premier BS Kular Stores, Doncaster said:  “I am really pleased with the new Booker free Epos system.  It is really easy to use, it gives the store a more professional look with the Premier shelf edge labels, and my customers like it because they can see the price they need to pay.  It saves me time because the Premier promotions are already set up. I get updates on price increases so I sell everything at the right price.  This has been so successful that after trialling it in my second store it didn’t take me long to install it in my first store.”

Mrs Khakhar of Flore Post Office, in Flore, Northants agrees:  “I have recently installed Booker's free Epos system and it has added real value to my business. Start-up is simple and easy and it provides a more professional image for my business with shelf edge labels and scanning the products. My customers have more confidence in the price they are paying and it helps me with stock control and ordering. As well as this, new prices are automatically changed to help my profitability and I am working far more efficiently. I would absolutely recommend the system to other retailers."

“Having an Epos system really does bring benefits to independent stores and we are delighted that so many retailers have taken advantage of this free deal,” said Steve Fox, Sales Director – Retail.  “Retailers simply agree to spend more at their local Booker and they then receive their free Epos system in three to five days.  The ‘plug n play’ system includes a laser printer, thermal receipt printer and an internet scanner.  Epos systems are an essential part of an independent store to take their business to the next level.”
