How do I register to the site?
Go to the registration screen, enter your e-mail address, then follow the on-screen instructions.
Why should I register to the site?
Much of the content on this site is restricted to NFRN members only. All registrations are manually checked against the NFRN membership database to ensure that access to the member-only content on the site is restricted to NFRN members only.
Go to the login screen and enter the username and password you entered during registration. The login screen is also accessible via the footer of the homepage.
Do I need to log in every time?
Yes, for each new visit. NFRN online uses a temporary cookie - this simply remembers that you've logged in, enabling you to move between members-only and public pages then back again without being challenged to log in for a second time. However, it will not keep you automatically logged in if you leave the site or close down your browser.
I've already registered but forgotten my password, what can I do?
There is a username/password reminder system accessible via the member login page. Enter your e-mail address and you will be sent confirmation of your login name and password.
What software do I require to view the document downloads on the site?
NFRN online contains a range of files in either PDF or Microsoft Word format. Some are restricted to NFRN members only.
PDF files: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader software to view these files. Acrobat Reader is free – it comes with most web browsers, and can also be downloaded from the Adobe website (www.adobe.co.uk/products/acrobat/readstep.html).
Word files: If you do not have a recent version of Microsoft Word but are running Windows, you can use Microsoft's 'Word viewer' which enables your web browser to display the documents (available from (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=95e24c87-8732-48d5-8689-ab826e7b8fdf&DisplayLang=en). Or you can install Open Office, a free productivity suite for Linux, Mac, Solaris and Windows.
How can I search for content on the site?
Enter a word or phrase into the search window (this appears in the top right hand side of each page, beneath the main toolbar), then press search. The search will results appear in a new window.
